Ungulate TAG Scholarship

The AZA Ungulate TAGs offer an annual scholarship to assist enthusiastic individuals in attending the Ungulate TAG Meetings to present a topic of their choosing. In 2026, TWO scholarships of $1,500.00 (US dollars) will be awarded. The TAG meetings will be held at the 2026 AZA Midyear Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. Scholarship applications (including all supporting documents) should be submitted to azaungulates@gmail.com by 11:59 PM EST on Saturday January 17, 2026. Full submission information is included in the application. Only one scholarship application may be submitted per individual per year, and past recipients may not apply. Members of international AZA institutions are welcome to apply. Applications will be evaluated and the recipient chosen by a team consisting of AZA Ungulate TAG members, and two scholarships will be awarded from the applications received. Scholarship recipients will be notified by the end of January 2026.

Please note: This scholarship application and award does not represent your registration to the AZA Midyear Conference. The winner must register themself for the conference, make all travel plans, and cover any expenses above the value of the scholarship. Details of fund dispersal will be discussed with awardee when announced.

Detailed Award Coverage

Each scholarship is $1,500.00 (US dollars). Funds may be applied to any of the following:

• AZA Midyear Registration

• Travel expenses

• Hotel/lodging, meals or incidentals

Note: attendee is expected to cover any expenses beyond the $1,500.00
